Close-Knit Community
Calvary Bible Institute is blessed to have a tight-knit group of young people who share the same schedule, the same excitement for ministry, and the same love for the Lord. With a student body of 60-65 students each semester, “everyone knows everyone,” allowing for amazing fellowship and opportunities to make close friends for the rest of your life.
Everyday Life at CBI
When walking down the halls of CBI, you’ll likely find students with their Bibles open in front of them, plenty of guitars and spontaneous worship sessions, a few people having theological discussions, a small group playing a board game, and maybe even a funny conversation with a big group of people that leads to a long running inside joke getting accidentally formed.
Shared Experiences
Students commonly enjoy playing spike ball in the courtyard between classes, driving through Yucca Valley to grab some caffeine or late night snacks together, planning beach trips, and carpooling out to the National Park for an evening hike.
Intentional Fellowship
Calvary Bible Institute also facilitates times of intentional fellowship where students can enjoy connecting outside of classes or ministry hours. On average, the staff puts on two optional student events each month, which usually include an ice cream social and game night, athletic games in the church gym, bonfire and s'mores worship night, spikeball tournament, a CBI game show, and all night of prayer.
Lifelong Friendships
We understand that the friendships made here are valuable, sharpening, and can long outlive the duration of the program, resulting in fellowship and encouragement in later seasons of life.
